RESOURCES: No- & Low-Cost Apps, Agencies, Support Lines, Articles, . . .

A resource is something, either inside or outside of yourself, that helps fulfill a need. An inside (internal) resource might be the ability to reach out for help or to breathe deeply for five minutes when feeling scatter-brained or angry. An outside (external) resource may be a counselor, class, or instructions in how to breathe deeply.

Below you will find a host of local external resources that I have put together with the intention of helping you build your internal ones. They are all low- or no-cost and many are tried and true by clients, friends, family and/or myself throughout the years.

[Suicide or Homicide Risk] If it's imminent (time-sensitive, requires immediate intervention and/or medical attention) call 9-1-1 or go to your nearest emergency room. If you are an adult and you are in danger of hurting yourself or someone else, call Mobile Crisis (415-970-4000) or Westside Community Crisis (415-355-0311), for a person under the age of 18, call Comprehensive Child Crisis (415-970-3800). San Francisco Suicide Prevention (415-781-0500)  has a 24/7 Crisis Line as well as an online chat option from 11 am to 11 pm Monday through Friday.
